Short Biography

Dr.Poramez Kumarnboon Holds a Ph.D. in Criminology and Justice Administration from Chulalongkorn University, graduating with highest honors in the academic year 2020 (Outstanding Dissertation in Cybercrime and Game Theory). Also earned two Master’s degrees: in Defense Engineering and Technology (Computer Engineering for Defense, ranked 1st in class, a joint program between Chulalongkorn University and the Royal Military Academy), and in Technology Management (Telecommunications) from Thammasat University. Additionally, holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Law (LL.B., Chulalongkorn University) and Telecommunications Engineering (B.Eng., Mahanakorn University of Technology).

An expert in Cybercrime, Hybrid Warfare, and Internet Media Psychology, he lectures extensively at leading institutions including the Royal Thai Police (CCIB, Police College), Royal Thai Army Command and General Staff College, Royal Thai Army War College, Royal Police Cadet Academy, Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, as well as government agencies such as the Ministry of Commerce, AMLO, NBTC, SEC, and the Bank of Thailand.

Professionally certified as a Barrister-at-Law (Thai Bar Association), a Chartered Professional Engineer in Telecommunications (No. 88 in Thailand), and certified in Information Engineering Security (No. 11 in Thailand) by the Council of Engineers. Serves as a legal advisor on Personal Data Protection Law (PDPA) for government agencies, and is Chair of the Subcommittee drafting the PDPA Compliance Guidebook for Engineers under the Engineering Institute of Thailand.

Completed international training programs with prestigious institutions including MIT, Harvard, Yale, University of Pennsylvania, UC Berkeley, Waseda University, and the University of Tokyo, covering fields such as Cybersecurity, Financial Markets, Intellectual Property, Game Theory, and ICT Policy & Regulation.
