Short Biography
Pol.Maj. Manatsanan Kantasri completed her undergraduate studies in Public Administration at the Royal Police Cadet Academy in Thailand and earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of York. She began her career as a police investigator before moving into academia as a lecturer, where she teaches courses on economic crime, corruption, crime prevention, and transnational crime.
She co-founded the Center for Crime Science at the Royal Police Cadet Academy, which aims to build networks and share knowledge on crime science in the ASEAN region. Her work reflects her interests in experimental criminology, environmental criminology, and evidence-based approaches to public safety.
Her research focuses on crime policy, economic crime, and anti-corruption strategies. She is particularly interested in applying research to support law enforcement practice and developing policy sandboxes to enhance crime policy and public safety in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
