SAFE CITY INNOVATORS

On June 22, 2026,
the Crime Science Center, in collaboration with the College of Innovation, Thammasat University, and the Urban Health Promotion Center,
organized a seminar and workshop titled
“SAFE CITY INNOVATORS”
as part of the 21st Thailand Research Expo 2026,
held at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, Bangkok.

he event atmosphere was highly engaging and interactive, with participants actively exchanging ideas from both academic and practical perspectives, while gaining hands-on experience.

In addition, all participants received certificates of participation to recognize their engagement and enhance their capacity in safe city development.

The event focused on exploring approaches to designing crime-free cities by integrating crime science with Design Thinking.

  • The program consisted of two main sessions:
     Forum Discussion: “Innovations and Tools for Safe City Design: From Theory to Practice for an Inclusive Safe City,” where experts shared insights, exchanged perspectives, and discussed strategies for driving sustainable urban safety.
  •  Workshop: “Crime Science x Design Thinking: Designing Crime-Free Cities,” a hands-on session where participants collaboratively analyzed ideas and developed their own safe city models through the Design Thinking process.

This event marked another important platform for promoting innovative approaches to crime prevention and fostering collaborative networks toward building safer cities in the future.
