Keynote Session 1: Academia to Practice was delivered by Assistant Professor Youngsub Lee from the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences, City University of Hong Kong.

In his presentation, “From Research to Real-World Impact: Translating Crime Science into Practice and Innovation,” he shared perspectives on translating crime science knowledge and research into practical applications. He also presented approaches to integrating research, technology, and innovation to support law enforcement agencies and enhance crime prevention in response to contemporary societal challenges.

The session underscored the importance of transforming knowledge generated through research into practical outcomes that create a positive impact on public safety and the justice system.
