The ICCS Showcase by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), under the theme “From Research to Practice,” presented experiences and lessons from applying research, data, and empirical evidence in CIB operations.
The session explored the “What Works” approach, which focuses on developing effective policies, measures, and practices for crime prevention and suppression that deliver tangible outcomes.
Participants exchanged perspectives on translating academic knowledge into field operations and explored examples of police innovations designed to address contemporary crime challenges. The discussion also highlighted the role of Evidence-Based Policing in enhancing the effectiveness and credibility of law enforcement.
The session offered another compelling example of translating research knowledge into real-world practice—an essential foundation for advancing Crime Science and Justice Innovation in Thailand.
