“We should not design cities only for the majority. We must design cities where everyone feels confident living their lives in public spaces.”

— Sirada Darikanon

A safe city is not measured solely by its infrastructure or advanced technology. It begins with “listening” to people from all walks of life—especially those whose voices are often overlooked in urban design processes.

At the Safe City Innovators workshop, participants explored the city through the experiences of diverse groups, identifying risks and sources of insecurity while collaboratively designing solutions that enable everyone to access and use public spaces with confidence.

Because a good city is not simply one that is safe for “the majority.”
It is a city where everyone feels that they, too, belong.
